The Porter Gallery is a new gallery showing emerging contemporary artists in all media. It is under the direction of Nicholas H. Batzell and housed in the Cambridge Masonic Temple in Porter Square.
The inaugural group show “INTO THE MYSTIC” explores themes of mystery, symbolism, esotericism and all things Mystic. It includes traditional and new media with many young artists connected with the Museum School on the Fenway as well as local community members from Cambridge, the Greater Boston Area, and New England. The opening reception of “INTO THE MYSTIC” is on Friday January 24th 2020 from 6:00 – 9:00 pm and it will run the whole month of February with the closing on Leap Day, Saturday February 29th. ALLEGORY RIDGE >>>
A MAGAZINE FOR OPEN-MINDED MILLENNIALS an online and print magazine that publishes travel writing, short stories, poetry, artwork, photography, and personal essays. New content is published weekly on their website, with two print issues released each year. Their content falls under three main categories: Explore, Create, and Grow. Each of these categories are further divided into three subcategories which are expanded upon below. Those who contribute work were born between the years 1980–1999. Several pieces of my artwork will be accompanying a short fiction story entitled "Hole in the World" by Brian Hughes in the fourth print issue of Allegory Ridge. Brians story is a bit philosophic and abstract in nature and focuses on a woman and her garden and a strange man she meets. The fourth print issue for Summer 2019 and will be coming out in June.
