 Getting started + layout for virtual/e-learning:Hello Wildcat Artists!
During our time outside of our school studio I have created this blog where I will post your assignments + art lessons which may include but are not limited to creating art, critiquing + interpreting art, watching + annotating art films, watching videos on new art techniques, art history = artists and art movements etc.
You will have an Art Mission Monday – every Monday - please check this blog (you can also reach this link through Google Classroom) read through the blog post and watch all videos and follow all links. You have to email your ANSWER (digital photo) to the Art Mission by the following Monday. Soooooo tomorrow, Monday April 6th check the Monday Art Mission - You will have until Sunday April 12th at midnight to email your response. >>> BLOG LINK https://www.nicoleireneart.com/wildcat-art Each Art Mission will have its own instructions and guidelines – email with any questions. Your images will then be posted on our Art Instagram Page @wildcat_portfolio_art so be sure to include your name and IG handle if you want to be tagged or you can also remain anonymous >>> https://www.instagram.com/wildcat_portfolio_art/ so we may show our art to the world/our community and our classmates will be able to view what everyone is doing.
Each Watch Wednesday will have its own assignment – sometimes I may have you list three questions you have after watching a clip, or I will ask you to list five aspects of the video that you found most interesting. These answers will be emailed to me or posted into our Google Classroom. We can even have an open virtual discussion for those who are up for it and this could be extra credit if people are interested. Just like Art Mission Mondays you will have a week to complete this assignment. You first Wednesday Watch will be posted to this blog on Wednesday April 8th and you will have until midnight on Tuesday April 14th to email me with your answers/response.
FAQ - I will post answers to any of your questions as well as your responses to Wednesday Watch. Also, if you have anything interesting to share – a link, video, or an artist or anything creative please send it my way and I will be happy to post for everyone to check out. I will post something fun to inspire you over the weekend.
You will be receiving credit or no-credit based on your level of participation. If you do nothing, then you will receive no credit, or a zero “0” When you participate the quality and quantity of work you do will be taken into account so please try your best = your EFFORT is what counts. Keep in mind this is SCHOOL work so everything created and shared needs to be school appropriate = just as if we were in our classroom at LMHS.
Mondays | Wednesdays | Fridays 1:00 – 3:00 I will be available via email, virtual chat and by phone – please email me for my number. If you all have questions or want to meet for a Zoom or Google Hangout please let me know and we can do that during our scheduled class period or sometime in the weekday afternoon during my office hours. School Schedule: Mondays | Wednesdays |Fridays 9:00 - 9:50 = Period A = Drawing + Painting Level II 10:00 - 10:50 = Period B = Portfolio / Advanced Art 11:00 - 11:50 = Period C = Sculpture Level II 12:00 - 12:50 = Period D = Sculpture Level II Tuesdays | Thursdays 9:00 - 10:15 = Period E/F 10:25 - 11:40 = Period G – Interns dedicate this additional time to Portfolio 11:50 - 1:05 = Period H = Drawing + Painting Level I The schedule is to help you stay organized and lets you know how much time you should be dedicating to each class - you may use the schedule or make up your own - whatever works best for you as long as you are able to get the work completed. This schedule also provides us with opportunities to meet up virtually during designated days and times if you want or we need to.
